youth gives you wings
So for one of my classes we were asked to do a self-promotion project, meaning show us something about yourself. So I have always had this fascination with Peter Pan, perhaps because I have always held on to my inner child, regarding it as a priority. So I made this piece to show that. I made a paper doll of myself, painted it and put feathers on it. for the background I used a shiny piece of blue paper and glued colorful sequins on it. Then I cut a paper golden egg and made a "plaque" that has one my senior quote from high school, of course it's from Peter Pan. It reads, " I'm youth, I'm joy, I'm the little bird that has broken put of the egg." Any ways I absolutely love it and think it is a perfect reflection of myself and my work and work ethic.Posted by

finished at last!
Sorry everyone, got busy with school starting. But after a good 15 hours dedication I have finished my Star girl motion graphic. It took alot of hard work. I restarted twice so I hope you enjoy it more than I've enjoyed the process of making it. I'm very happy with it, for a good second attempt at after effects, I'm quite pleased. carry onward.

Gustavo Olivieri Antiques
So my uncle's partner owns some wonderful antique stores in a couple places: Miami, Fl. and Hampton, NY. Now he is opening a new store in South Beach in Miami's infamous Lincoln Rd. In order to announce the opening in September, my uncle enlisted my graphic design skills to create promotional products for the new store.
So we decided an electronic postcard was needed to send via email to subscribers, as well as a physical postcard to mail or handout, and last but not least a 3ft. by 5 ft banner to stream across the front of the store, to grab attention to its presence. When designing their promotional material, I rethought about their logo. It didn't seem like a good fit for such a modern antique store...I know its "a modern antique store" is an oxymoron but go on their website, you'll see what I mean. So I was thinking of something sophisticated but fun...I came up with the initials spelling GO. Ok already it was less stuffy than the original.

Then I considered a color scheme. For some reason I had always noticed my uncle loved the color orange. He had a pair of orange and white swim shorts, that he avidly wore. So I tried an "Hermes orange", white and black. I had always loved square shaped designs over that standard boring paper size retangle, so I formatted the postcard for a square. Once that was done, I put a border on the logo and PRESTO it was like magic! From there the rest came much easier. My uncle loved the design and is using it now. check it out:
